Neuroscience - Science & Philosophy Communication
I am a multidisciplinary neuroscientist. I enjoy visiting museums, appreciating art, and reading about philosophy.
I love nature! Hiking, climbing mountains, and being surrounded by wildlife are my favorite pleasures. I am passionate about reading and thinking about evolution, comparative cognition, neuropsychopharmacology and philosophy of mind. I have collaborated in science and humanities communication projects.
My overall research goals in the Neuroscience field are to gain a deep understanding of the cortical mechanisms affected by excitatory/inhibitory imbalance, neuropsychiatric disorders and substance use disorders to contribute to developing the best possible translational interventions for preventing and treating cognitive deficits specifically those related to the optimal function of the medial prefrontal cortex, such as impulsivity, decision-making, and executive functions.
